Using Avela
Terms of Use
These terms keep the relationship clear: what Avela provides, how subscriptions work, and where a real person or professional service is needed instead.
1. Acceptance and contact

By downloading or using Avela, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Avela. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms.
Avela is not emergency or medical care
Avela offers journaling, reflection, and general wellbeing prompts. It does not diagnose conditions, provide medical or psychological treatment, monitor you continuously, or create a therapist–patient relationship. AI and transcription can be incomplete or wrong.
If you may hurt yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a trusted person now. Do not rely on Avela to detect or respond to an emergency.
2. Free and Premium features
Free features may include text entries, photos, encrypted local saving, history, and short local reflections. Premium may include voice journaling, personal AI reflections, deeper observations, patterns, a personal map, and tests. Current features are shown in the app before purchase and may evolve as the service improves.
3. Auto-renewable subscriptions
Avela offers one-week, one-month, and one-year auto-renewable subscriptions. The App Store shows the exact price, currency, duration, and any trial or introductory offer before you confirm a purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. Avela provides a restore-purchases option for eligible purchases. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under the App Store’s rules.
Price changes, upgrades, and downgrades are handled through the store and take effect according to its disclosures and applicable law. Deleting Avela does not itself cancel a subscription.
4. Your content and privacy
You retain your rights in journal content. You give Avela and its processors a limited permission to process that content only to operate features you request, protect the service, and comply with law, as explained in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for content you submit and for keeping your device appropriately protected.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use Avela to violate law or another person’s rights.
- Upload content you do not have the right to process.
- Attempt unauthorized access or disrupt the service.
- Probe, overload, automate abuse of, or bypass service limits.
- Reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited by law.
6. Avela materials
Avela, its visual design, software, text, and mascot are owned by the Operator or used under permission. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Avela or its materials.
7. Availability and changes
Avela is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, perfect transcription, perfect AI output, or detection of every safety concern. We may fix, change, add, or remove features. We will not intentionally deprive an active subscriber of the core paid service during a paid term without an appropriate remedy required by store rules or applicable law.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avela is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. The Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or loss of data, profits, or opportunity arising from the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator’s total liability relating to Avela will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Avela during the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights.
9. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Avela at any time and may cancel Premium through the store. We may suspend access for serious misuse, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Sections that by their nature should survive will remain effective after use ends.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing in these Terms limits a right to bring a claim in a forum required by applicable law.
11. Changes and contact
Material updates will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law. Contact ikkagency13@gmail.com; we usually reply within two business days.
